Hermeneutics Definition: Hermeneutics is the study of how to correctly interpret texts, especially the Holy Scripture. Faithful hermeneutics is a careful and objective method that seeks to discover the meaning the original author intended through the original languages and historical-grammatical context. Unfaithful or subjective hermeneutics allows the reader’s own ideas, modern culture, or personal feelings to change or add to the original meaning.

Many Christians today fall into a lukewarm middle ground. They claim to love the Holy Scripture but handle it carelessly or inconsistently, mixing faithful study with subjective influences. This lukewarm approach dishonors God’s Word and often leads to confusion and weak faith. At best, it leads away from Truth; at worst, it leads to false teaching, false doctrine, false prophets, and straight to hell.
