God is offering you the most precious Gift ever given. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself invites you to repent and trust in Him alone for salvation.

What "Gospel" Means Here

Paul refuses to be ashamed of this message. The gospel is not a human slogan. It is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.

That rescue runs on God's order, not man's pride. It came to the Jew first, and it came also to the Greek. The invitation above stands on this sure ground: God's own effective work for every nation, received only by trusting Christ, never by merit or birthright.

The same gospel that reached the Jew first and the Greek also reaches you. While His invitation stands, repent and trust Christ alone. No one who believes is outside its scope. To answer wisely, we must next know who this God is: His Holiness, His Justice, and His Jealous Love.

God's Divine Attributes

Fundamental to His Holy Makeup

Holiness, Justice, and Jealousy are not moods God sometimes shows. They are who He is, forever.

The gospel has already called you to repent and trust in Christ. To answer that call with understanding, you must know the God who saves: the unchanging Yahweh. His eternal nature is not a menu of optional traits. Holiness, Justice, and Jealousy belong to who He is. Deny any one of them and you invent a false god. Under this God every soul will give account.

Holiness - Set Apart as His Nature

Holiness is not a mood. It is God's intrinsic purity, set apart from all that is common or defiled. You cannot approach such a God casually or while polluted. Sinners need a Mediator who can make them fit to stand before Him.

Justice - Straight as His Standard

Justice is God's straight moral standard, the plumb line by which He measures every path and deed. The LORD does not wink at wrong or favor the powerful. His justice requires that guilt be answered and truth be upheld. Because every person falls short of that standard, we need One who satisfies divine justice on our behalf.

Jealousy - Zeal for Exclusive Devotion

Jealousy in God is not petty envy. It is His righteous zeal that refuses a rival and claims an undivided heart. Christ alone redeems sinners so they may answer that zeal with wholehearted worship instead of judgment.

How These Attributes Work Together

These three cannot be separated or softened without inventing a false god. Holiness demands purity. Justice demands that every sin be weighed and answered. Jealousy demands sole devotion, with no rival on the throne of the heart. Together they uphold the moral order of creation and reveal a God who never contradicts Himself. The next three sections let Holy Scripture prove each one.

Embrace the full truth of God's character. Repent of every sin that offends His Holiness and Justice. Trust Christ alone with the undivided heart His Jealous Love demands. Then walk forward as Scripture unfolds each attribute.

God is Perfectly Holy

He Must Be Revered

Yahweh Qadosh (The LORD is Holy) He Demands Purity.

Having named Holiness among God's eternal attributes, Holy Scripture shows what Yahweh Qadosh means where heaven cries and earth obeys: the LORD is Holy. God's Holiness is absolute, flawless, and fills all He is - not one trait among many. Sin cannot stand in His Presence. Every soul must either be cleansed to meet Him or perish before Him. Isaiah and Leviticus press this Truth until we tremble at His Majesty and flee - not from a cruel stranger to a kinder god, but from the Righteous Judgment of the Thrice-Holy God Himself - into the arms of Jesus Christ, whom that same God gave so we may be cleansed and stand before Him.

The Triple Cry of Holiness

In Isaiah's vision the seraphim cry Holy, holy, holy. That thrice-holy cry is not decoration. It stresses that God's Holiness is perfect, complete, and without mixture or flaw before the LORD of hosts. The glory fills the whole earth. This reveals why casual approach is impossible and why only Christ's Cleansing lets sinners stand before the Holy One.

Do not treat God lightly. Repent of every sin that defiles you, and trust Christ alone - He bore the penalty Holiness demands so you may worship with awe instead of fearing judgment.

Sanctify Yourselves - His Command

God commands, sanctify yourselves, and be holy - for I am holy. He forbids that we defile ourselves. Holiness is not empty talk. It reaches into daily obedience. Only Christ's Cleansing makes that command possible for guilty sinners.

Turn from what defiles - in thought, word, and deed - and trust Christ's Blood for cleansing and power to live set apart for God.

God is Perfectly Just

He Must Uphold Righteousness

Yahweh Tsaddiq (The LORD is Righteous/Just) He Upholds Righteousness.

Holiness showed why defiled sinners cannot approach God. Justice shows why guilty sinners cannot escape His reckoning. Yahweh Tsaddiq - the LORD is Righteous - means God never bends, cheats, or overlooks wrong. His Justice runs through every path He takes and every work He performs. Sinners cannot plead ignorance before Him; yet Christ bore the penalty Justice demands so repentant trust may stand before the God who always does right.

Righteous in Every Path and Deed

The psalmist declares the LORD is righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works. This reveals that God's Justice is not occasional or partial. It is complete and consistent in everything He does.

Because God never acts unjustly, you can trust His Warnings and His Promises alike. Repent of every wrong and trust Christ - He satisfied divine justice on the Cross of Jesus Christ so guilty sinners may approach the LORD who is righteous in all His Ways.

He Delights in Righteousness

David says the righteous LORD loveth righteousness. His countenance beholds the upright. This shows that God's Justice is not cold distance. He actively delights in rightness and sees those who walk straight before Him. No one stands upright before Him by own merit; only Christ's Righteousness covers sinners who repent and trust Him.

Turn from crooked paths and trust Christ alone - His Perfect Righteousness is credited to those who believe, so God's Face may rest upon you with favor instead of judgment.

When Justice and Holiness Converge

Psalm 145 and Psalm 11 together leave no escape: the LORD who is righteous in every way and holy in every work will judge every crooked deed, yet He loveth righteousness. That is why the gospel is necessary - Christ paid what Justice required and gives His own standing to those who repent and trust Him, so Holiness is honored and Justice is satisfied. Full exposition of that Cross comes later; first finish knowing who God is.

Do not face this God on your own record. Repent and receive Christ's Righteousness - the only answer to a LORD who is just in all His Ways and holy in all His Works.

God is Perfectly Jealous

He Demands Exclusive Loyalty

Qanna (Jealous God) He Demands Exclusive Loyalty.

Holiness and Justice expose our guilt before God. God is perfectly jealous - not with petty envy but with covenant zeal that refuses rivals for your devotion. Qanna names His Nature: He claims exclusive loyalty because He made you and loves you. Christ redeems sinners into a one-on-one relationship with Himself. A divided heart insults the God whose Jealous Love burns for your good.

He created you to love and be loved perfectly. He has not created any other role for us. For that we should be excited - He specifically crafted the most incredible place for you, not just anywhere, but at His Table, not as just another person, but as His sons and daughters.

His Name Is Jealous

The LORD forbids that you worship any other god - for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. To bend the knee elsewhere is to deny the God who rightly demands the whole heart.

Self-rule means putting our own desires, plans, or will first - before God. To place anything before God, even our own self-rule, is idol worship. Most of the world lives this way every day, letting self sit on the throne of their hearts. Even truly saved Christians often struggle with self-rule and battle daily to surrender it completely to God.

Turn from every false god - including self-rule - and give Christ the undivided worship His Jealous Love requires.

Why His Jealousy Is Good News

God's Jealousy is not human pettiness. It is the passion of your Creator refusing to let lesser masters destroy you. Self-rule, the world's applause, and every false god compete for the homage of bowed worship that belongs to Christ alone. Only the Savior who bore your guilt can win your undivided trust - answering the Jealous Name with repentance instead of judgment.

Let His Jealous Love win your whole heart: repent of every rival, trust Christ completely, and worship the God who will not share what belongs to Him - because He will not share you with what would ruin you.

We Are Guilty Sinners

We Are All Born With an Inheritance of Sin and Guilt

El Roi (The God Who Sees) He Sees Every Heart.

Having met God as Holy, Just, and Jealous, we must face who we are before Him. This is the beginning of a trusted diagnosis - not a soft suggestion. El Roi - the God Who Sees - leaves no sin hidden. Every person inherits guilt from Adam's fall and adds personal rebellion. Before the God Scripture has already revealed, no one stands clean.

All Have Fallen Short

Paul declares all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. This means universal guilt - without exception, every soul has missed the mark and lacks God's Glory.

Stop excusing yourself. Admit your guilt before the God who sees all, and turn to Christ - the only One who can supply what you lack.

Death Spread to All

Through one man sin entered and death by sin. So death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. This reveals why you were born guilty and why good works, rituals, or moral effort cannot erase what the fall and your own sin have wrought.

The Law of God acts like a perfect mirror. It shows us how guilty we truly are before Him. Ray Comfort uses the Ten Commandments to clearly show that every person has broken God's perfect law many times over. Jesus made the standard even higher when He taught that sin begins in the heart. Anger in the heart is murder. Lust in the heart is adultery. This makes it completely impossible for any person to keep the Law perfectly or to earn salvation by their own works. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. This truth removes all hope of self-salvation and drives us to trust completely in the grace and finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

You cannot save yourself. Repent of every sin and trust Christ alone - He alone breaks the chain of sin and death for those who believe.

Condemned Before El Roi

Paul's two witnesses join in one verdict: by nature and by choice all have sinned; all come short of the glory of God; through one man sin entered, death followed, and ruin reached every person. El Roi sees what you hide - sin cannot be excused before the God already revealed.

Humble yourself before the God who sees your heart.

Enemies Under the Wrath of God

The Law Closes Every Mouth

We were not mostly fine people who made a few bad choices. We were enemies - and only the death of God's Son can reconcile us.

You have already heard the basic diagnosis: all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. That is inheritance and personal guilt before El Roi, the God who sees. Now Holy Scripture presses further - not to mock you, but to complete a trusted diagnosis. The Law shows what sin is. The gospel names what we were: enemies. And the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness - a righteous Wrath that abides on everyone who will not believe the Son. We speak this with grief and love, because Christ died for enemies, and His invitation still stands.

Every Mouth Stopped

That every mouth may be stopped and all the world may become guilty before God is the Law's purpose when it speaks. By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight - moral effort, religious performance, and "I am a good person" claims cannot produce a not-guilty verdict before the Holy Judge. By the law is the knowledge of sin. The Law is a mirror, not a ladder.

Look honestly into that mirror with us. Have we always told the truth, or have we lied? Have we taken what was not ours - time, praise, goods, purity? Have we looked with lust, hated in our hearts, used God's Name lightly, put other loves on the throne that belongs to Him alone? The Law does not ask whether we are "better than someone else." It asks whether we are clean before God. We are not. Every mouth is stopped. That is not cruelty; it is mercy that ends the lie before the lie kills us.

Stop justifying yourself by comparing yourself with others. Let the Law do its holy work: show you your sin, close your mouth, and drive you to Christ - the only One who can justify the ungodly by faith.

Wrath Revealed from Heaven

The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. Wrath is not the opposite of Love; it is Love's Holiness and Justice refusing to call evil good. God does not shrug at rebellion. He reveals His Wrath from heaven so that sinners will not sleepwalk into ruin.

Do not treat God's Wrath as a scare story or a medieval leftover. It is revealed now against ungodliness - including yours and mine when we suppress the truth. Flee to Christ, who bore wrath for all who repent and trust Him.

When We Were Enemies

Scripture does not flatter us. When we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son. Much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life - the risen life of Christ secures those whom His death reconciled. The word enemies destroys the myth that we were neutral seekers only needing a little religious polish. We were opposed to God - and God moved first in love through the Cross of Jesus Christ.

Admit the worst news about yourself: apart from Christ you stand as an enemy of God. Then receive the best news: enemies can be reconciled by the death of His Son. Repent and trust the crucified and risen Christ alone.

Life in the Son - or Wrath Abiding

Two destinies stand in one verse. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life. He that believeth not the Son shall not see life - and the wrath of God abideth on him. Wrath is not only a future courtroom scene; for the unbelieving it abides - present and ongoing - until the Son is trusted. There is no third category of "nice people who never decide."

Believe on the Son today. Everlasting life is not earned by delay or partial interest. Refuse Him, and wrath abides. Trust Him, and life is yours as God's Gift - repent and believe.

The Diagnosis Complete

Put the pieces together under the light of God's Holiness, Justice, and Jealous Love already shown. The Law stops every mouth and gives the knowledge of sin. Wrath is revealed from heaven against ungodliness. We were enemies, reconcilable only by the death of God's Son. Those who will not believe the Son shall not see life, and wrath abides. That is the full diagnosis.

Do not wait for a softer gospel. There is none. Bring your stopped mouth, your enemy-status, and your need: so great a gift as salvation must not be neglected.

Why We Need the Good News

Do Not Neglect So Great a Gift as Salvation

After a true diagnosis, love still tells the whole truth: so great a gift as salvation leaves no escape if we brush it aside.

You have heard who God is - Holy, Just, and Jealous. You have heard the diagnosis: all have sinned; death spread to all; the Law stops every mouth; wrath is revealed; we were enemies; wrath abides on those who will not believe the Son. That is not abstract theology. That is your condition and mine apart from Christ. Now Scripture asks a piercing question about the only rescue God has given: how shall we escape if we neglect so great a gift as salvation?

How Shall We Escape?

The writer asks a question that leaves no soft exit: How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? This salvation began to be spoken by the Lord and was confirmed by those who heard Him - it is not a private opinion or a light religious hobby. The force of the verse is this: there is no other escape route if this one is brushed aside. Neglect is not neutral; it is a refusal to take seriously what God Himself has spoken in His Son.

Do not treat this page as mere information. Having faced the diagnosis, do not shrug at the only cure. The salvation offered in Jesus Christ is so great that neglecting it leaves no other way of escape.

This section is not a second enemies essay. Diagnosis is complete. Stakes are clear: so great a gift as salvation stands open, and there is no escape if it is neglected. Only Jesus Christ paid the full penalty - for enemies, under wrath, with mouths stopped by the Law.

Ask God now for honesty and humility. Resolve not to neglect His Son crucified and risen. Repent and trust Christ alone.

The diagnosis is complete and the stakes are clear: neglect of so great a salvation leaves no escape. Condemned by sin and death, enemies under wrath, humanity had no remedy - until God acted. Yahweh Jireh - the LORD Will Provide - sent His only begotten Son in unspeakable love: holy, gentle, undefiled, perfectly sinless. Jesus willingly went to the Cross of Jesus Christ - His Life was not taken against His will - to bear in the place of guilty sinners the curse, guilt, and righteous wrath that Adam's fall brought upon all men. His sacrifice is sufficient for every sin of every age - for all who repent and trust Him alone, not for those who reject Him.

Christ Died for the Ungodly

Paul says God commendeth His love toward us - while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. This shows that God acted first: love moved Christ to the cross before we were fit to approach Him.

You did not earn this Love. Repent of your guilt and trust Christ - the Savior who died for you while you were still a sinner.

Saved by Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone, In Christ Alone

Salvation is by grace through faith. You are saved - and it is not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works. This reveals that the full penalty Christ paid cannot be supplemented by your own righteousness. The rescue is in Christ alone. Later teachers of the Reformation named these same Bible truths with short Latin banners - Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus - not as a new gospel, but as clear names for what Paul already wrote here.

Stop trying to earn what is already finished at the cross. Repent and receive salvation as God's Gift - trust Christ alone, not your works.

Died, Buried, and Raised

Paul delivered the gospel core: Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day. The resurrection forever proves the debt sin demanded was paid in full. This measuring of the gospel by God's written Word is what the Reformers named Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone).

Build your hope on fact, not feeling. Repent and trust the Christ who died for sins, was buried, and rose - His Resurrection is God's Receipt that the full penalty is paid.

Twice According to the Scriptures

Paul anchors the gospel according to the scriptures at the cross and again at the empty tomb. God did not improvise at Calvary - He fulfilled what He had already sworn in Holy Scripture, then raised Christ on the third day as the Father's receipt that the death on behalf of our sins was accepted. Faith rests on that twin witness, not on shifting feeling. Again the stance is Sola Scriptura - not a new idea from the Reformers, but their clear Latin name for resting the gospel on the Word God already spoke.

Repent and trust Christ alone - build on what God foretold and fulfilled at the Cross of Jesus Christ and in His resurrection, for all who believe.

Made Sin for Us - That We Might Be Made Righteous

Here Holiness, Justice, and Love meet without contradiction. God made Him sin for us - He who knew no sin - that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. The Cross is not God overlooking sin. It is God providing the only sacrifice equal to infinite offense: His own sinless Son, for enemies, so that repentant trust may wear a righteousness we could never earn.

Stop bringing God a righteousness of your own. Receive Christ: the Sinless made sin for you, that you might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Repent and trust Him alone.

The Infinite Gift - and Those Who Trample It

After the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ "according to the scriptures," Hebrews presses the horror of treating that Gift lightly. The one who has trodden under foot the Son of God and counted the blood of the covenant an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace, is worthy of sorer punishment than those who rejected lesser light. God has said, Vengeance belongs unto me, I will recompense - The Lord shall judge his people. And the conclusion lands with holy weight: it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

This is why belittling the Crucifixion and resurrection is so heinous: the offense was against infinite Holiness; the payment was the infinite Gift of the Son; to count that blood common is to insult Father, Son, and Spirit of grace at once. Yet even here love speaks: the same living God whose hands are fearful to the rebel still holds out mercy today to all who will repent and trust the Son whose blood was not common, but precious.

Tremble - and trust. Do not trample the Son underfoot by delay, indifference, or self-righteousness. Count His blood as holy. Fall into the hands of the living God as a penitent believer, not as a rebel who refused so great a salvation.

Christ died for sinners, was buried, and rose according to the Scriptures; He paid the full penalty and warned against trampling so great a Gift. Repentance is how you answer that gospel. Repent is not mere regret - it is a decisive change of mind and direction: away from the old life, the old ways, and the world's path; toward the God who made you to love and be loved, toward Jesus and everlasting life bathed in love.

Repent and Be Converted

The command is Repent and be converted so that sins may be blotted out when times of refreshing come from the presence of the Lord. This reveals that turning away from sin and toward God is how cleansing and renewal begin.

Turn from your old life and old ways. Repent with your whole direction changed, and trust Christ - refreshing flows from the Lord's Presence, not from clinging to the world.

Turn Toward the God Who Is Love

John says we have known and believed the love God has toward us - God is love. Whoever dwelleth in love dwells in God and God in him. Repentance turns you out of self and world and into the love you were created to share with your Maker.

Turn toward the One who created you to love and be loved. Abide in God's Love by repenting and trusting Christ - not by staying on the world's path.

Come to the Cross - Turn and Trust

At Calvary the turn Scripture commands becomes personal: change direction - leave the old path - and turn back to face God at the Cross of Jesus Christ, where guilt meets the release He purchased. Brokenness over rebellion is not wallowing - it is honest sorrow that forsakes known sin and refuses the life that dishonored your Creator.

Trust Yahweh Yasha (yasha - the LORD Who Saves) as Lord and Savior. Ask God to forgive you through Christ's Blood, believing He died in your place, rose again, and is mighty to save - not by your works or religion, but by His Finished Work on the Cross of Jesus Christ alone.

Repent in the Name of Jesus Christ

Peter commands, Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Baptism follows faith as public obedience and identification with Christ; it does not earn forgiveness, which Christ already purchased for all who believe.

Turn from the ways of the world and trust Jesus by name. Repent and believe - forgiveness and new life in the Spirit are received by faith; baptism follows as obedience, not as the price of pardon.

Repent - the Kingdom Is at Hand

From the start of His Ministry Jesus began to preach: Repent - for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. The King who rules in love demands a turned life, not a passing sentiment.

Jesus' first command was repent. Turn toward Him today - the kingdom of heaven is near, and delay is walking the wrong way.

God Commands All to Repent

God once winked at times of ignorance - but now He commandeth all men every where to repent. Repentance is not optional advice - it is the universal command of the God who sees every heart.

God commands you to repent - today, where you are. Turn away from your old life, turn toward Jesus and everlasting life in His Love, and trust Christ alone while the call still stands.

Will You Repent

Turn To and Trust In Jesus Christ Today?

Having heard God's command to repent - turn around toward Christ - the urgent question is personal: will you answer today? The question is not whether God loves you. Elohei ha-Ahavah (the God of Love) has already proven His Love at the Cross of Jesus Christ. The question is whether you will turn and trust Him now.

The God of Love and Peace

Paul urges believers to be perfect, of good comfort, of one mind, and to live in peace - and the God of love and peace shall be with you. The call to repent leads into life with the God of Love and Peace - not endless accusation without a path home.

Turn toward the God of love and peace. Repent and trust Christ so His Presence may be with you in restored life.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ

Paul and Silas answer plainly: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ - and thou shalt be saved. No ritual, merit, or delay - the urgent call is personal trust in Christ as Lord. Salvation is received by faith now; baptism and open confession follow as obedience, not as the price of pardon.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ now. Trust Him alone for salvation - then walk in the obedience that follows true faith.

Redemption Through His Blood

In Christ we have redemption through his Blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his Grace. The ransom is paid and forgiveness is offered now.

Will You Answer Him Today?

Paul's words for redemption and forgiveness are not distant theology - the ransom is paid and forgiveness is offered now, according to the riches of His grace. To delay is to leave purchased pardon unclaimed while trust on the Lord Jesus Christ is the only response that receives what His Blood already bought. None of us knows when life ends; later often never comes.

Answer Him today: repent, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and trust the forgiveness His Grace offers now - honest, simple faith from a turned heart.

God's Promise

of Assurance

A Sincere Promise From Our Faithful God

You answered the call to believe; God's Promise tells you what you may know for certain. His Word offers settled assurance for those who trust Christ - sealed by grace, not human guesswork. This section is for believers: security in His Finished Work, not a second diagnosis for the undecided.

Confess and Believe - Be Saved

Paul declares: if you confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. With the heart one believeth unto righteousness; with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Heart faith comes first; confession is its fruit.

Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confess Him as Lord. Trust His Promise: you shall be saved.

Written That You May Know

John says he has written to those who believe on the name of the Son of God - that ye may know that ye have eternal life. Assurance is God's design, not arrogance.

Receive what He wrote: know you have eternal life if you believe on the Son of God. Rest on Scripture's certainty, not on fluctuating feeling.

Nothing Can Separate You

Paul is persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor powers, nor things present or to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other creature can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. This is the security angle: nothing severs His Hold on those who are His.

Persuaded - Nothing Can Sever His Hold

Romans 10:9-10, 1 John 5:13, and Romans 8:38-39 weave one thread: heartfelt trust brings righteous standing before God; Scripture writes so you may know you possess eternal life; and Paul is fully persuaded that nothing in creation can tear you from God's love in Christ. Assurance is God's gift of certainty - security grounded in His Finished Work, not fluctuating feeling.

Receive what He wrote: confess Christ as Lord from the heart, know you have eternal life, and rest persuaded that His love holds you when fear and tomorrow press hard.

Salvation is the beginning, not the end - God calls every new believer to grow through daily Word, gathered fellowship, open confession, and walking with Christ. These steps honor the Savior who saved you; He who began a good work in you promises to carry it through to completion as you obey.

• Tell a trusted Christian you have repented and trusted Christ. Sometimes this is also done at your baptism
• Be baptized as an act of obedience and public confession.
• Stay in the Everlasting Love of Jesus
• Join a faithful Bible-Teaching Church.
• And above all, talk with Him always; He is listening. He loves you, love Him back. Don't take your eyes off Him, and you will grow. But we cannot grow if we are not facing Him.

Your Next Steps - His Work in You

Each item above answers a practical call: lessons and a Bible-teaching church feed the soul He saved; telling a trusted Christian and baptism give open acknowledgment of Christ; staying in His everlasting love and talking with Him daily keep you facing the Shepherd you cannot grow without. None of these earns rescue - they are the path of one in whom God already started a good work He will finish.

He Will Complete His Work in You

Paul is confident that God, who hath begun a good work, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 is not a cheer for self-improvement. God began the good work, God works it, and God will finish it. Your part is simple and whole: keep your eyes on Him. Even that we fail - we look away, grow dull, and stumble. He does not abandon the children He sealed. As a Father He nurtures, guides, and chastens those He loves, and He is free to use whatever discipline He deems necessary - even to the point of death - so that we are not left to ourselves. Failures do not finish His work; they become places where He still raises His own if we turn our face back to Him. Your daily Bible reading, fellowship, and prayer are not alone - God Himself sustains the work.

Keep your eyes on Him. When you fail, run back to His face - trust the Father who started the work, works it still, and will finish it.

His Love Carries You Forward

Where assurance rested on whether anything could sever you from Christ, this same passage now upholds you on the obedience path - baptism, church fellowship, and open confession are steps taken inside love, not ropes you weave to hold on. As you obey, Paul remains persuaded that no creature can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. His Love carries you forward while you walk the path He calls you to.

Stay in the everlasting love of Jesus. No failure of yours removes you from His Grip - keep turning toward Him and keep growing.

Held in the Shepherd's Hand

Jesus gives unto them eternal life; they shall never perish, and no one can pluck them out of my hand - for the Father who gave them to Christ is greater than all. Your security rests in Christ's keeping, not your own grip - talk with Him always; He is listening.

Love Him back and keep your eyes on the Shepherd. You are safe in His Hand and the Father's - grow by staying face to face with Him.

Sealed by the Spirit of Promise

After you heard the word of truth - the gospel of your salvation - and believed, you were sealed with the holy Spirit of promise, who is the earnest. Joining a Bible-teaching church and learning God's Word flows from the Spirit who already sealed you as God's own.

Read the Bible daily - John or Revelation - and attend sound teaching. The Spirit who sealed you will guide you deeper into the truth you heard.

Kept and Presented Faultless

Jude praises the One able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His Glory with exceeding joy. Your next steps rest in His Power to keep, not your power to hold on alone.

Walk forward in obedience, trusting Him to keep you. He will present you faultless with joy - give Him glory now and forever.

Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Christ Alone

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone - not by the strength of your next steps but by the God who sealed you with His Spirit, keeps you from falling, and will present you faultless before His glory. All glory to Yahweh Yasha (The LORD Who Saves) and Yahweh Tsidkenu (The LORD Our Righteousness).

Now Feast

on the Eternal Word Made Flesh

You walked forward in next steps; now do not starve the soul He sealed. Jesus is the living bread and the eternal Word - the banquet of those who have repented and believed. This is not a return to diagnosis; it is the believer's ongoing feast.

The Word Was With God and Was God

John opens: in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jesus is not a created messenger only - He is the eternal Word who is God, come to make the Father known.

Feast on the eternal Word. Read, trust, and worship Christ as God the Son who reveals the Father.

The Living Bread From Heaven

Jesus says, I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever. The bread He gives is His flesh for the life of the world - His sacrificial death as the life of those who believe.

Feed on Christ by faith. Depend on the living Bread who gave Himself for the life of the world - and live forever in Him.

Every Promise - Yea and Amen

All the promises of God in Christ are yea and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God. Every promise Scripture holds is confirmed in Jesus; feast on a Word that cannot fail.

Word, Bread, and Amen - One Feast

John 1:1, John 6:51, and 2 Corinthians 1:20 name one banquet: the eternal Word who is God, the living Bread whose flesh sinners receive by faith for eternal life, and every promise sealed with Amen in Christ.

Devour the Word who was God from the beginning, trust the Bread He gave for the world, and rest on every promise sealed with Amen in Christ.

Why Share the Good News?

Why do so many of us Christians share the Good News so fervently?

You feasted on Christ in His Word; now pass what you received without price. Salvation is a free gift from God - not wages you earned, but grace Christ purchased and freely offers. The God who gave you this gift in His mercy calls you to pass it on to others who still stand in need of the same diagnosis, the same stakes, and the same Savior.

Freely Received - Freely Give

Christ charged the twelve: freely ye have received, freely give. The free gift-nature of grace governs ministry - powers received without price and commanded to be given freely. What grace gave you at no cost, you must not hoard at any price.

Ready to Give an Answer

Peter commands: sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and be ready always to give an answer to everyone who asks a reason of the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. Fervent witness flows from a heart that honors Christ as holy and stands ready to defend the hope grace planted.

A Scene That Changed Everything

For me personally, I received a major push one day in prayer when the Lord allowed me to imagine the following scene unfolding on judgment day:

Imagine that solemn day: You stand in glory with the great multitude of your redeemed brothers and sisters - secure in Christ, yet one day to give account at the Judgment Seat of Christ for how you lived and warned. From that vantage you see someone you knew well in this life, now declared guilty of trampling underfoot the Son of God and counting the precious blood of the covenant an unholy thing. As holy angels lead them toward the lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels - the judgment of the lost before the Great White Throne - their eyes lock desperately with yours: "You knew the way of escape. Why did you never warn me? Why did you stay silent?"

In that shattering moment, overwhelming remorse floods over you - you had many opportunities and promptings of the Spirit, but you never opened your mouth to share the only Gospel that could have rescued them. You weep for the soul now facing eternal judgment - not because your silence damned them, for their guilt is their own rejection of Christ, but because you failed to warn them when God gave you opening after opening. The Lord warns us clearly in His Word:

The Watchman's Charge

Yahweh told Ezekiel: when I say to the wicked Thou shalt surely die and you give him no warning, the wicked dies in his iniquity - but his blood will I require at thine hand. The watchman must keep guard of the charge God gave and speak the warning. Silence does not spare the wicked; it heaps blood-guilt on the one sent to warn.

Yet God will not let His Word fail - if one watchman stays silent, He can raise another. For the believer, the loss is not salvation but reward: sorrow at the Judgment Seat of Christ and deep regret over missed warnings. Peter calls you to be ready to give an answer for the hope Christ gave you.

Resolve today: no more silence. Warn, plead, and proclaim salvation in Jesus Christ while it is still called "Today." You have walked from invitation through who God is, through diagnosis, stakes, Christ, repentance, assurance, next steps, and the feast of His Word - now freely give what you freely received.
